ABOUT
ALLOY is a progressive rock band founded in 2023 by guitarist Sebastian and bassist Björn in the Niederrhein area. Drawing inspiration from artists like Karnivool, Porcupine Tree, Tool, Toska, The Contortionist, and Black Peaks, the band blends a wide range of influences into their sound. In 2024, drummer Kai joined the lineup, adding dynamic rhythms and further enriching the group’s musical foundation.

Recently, vocalist Franzi became the final piece of the puzzle. With her expressive voice and profound emotional depth, she gives the music its narrative soul. Her vocals lend structure and cohesion to the band’s instrumental diversity, guiding listeners through the highs and lows of the human experience — a voice that doesn’t just sing, but carries you through the journey of life.

The name ALLOY reflects the band’s essence: a fusion of diverse musical styles and personal influences. Just as a metallic alloy is formed by combining different substances to create something stronger and more functional, the band’s music emerges from the synergy of its members’ unique backgrounds and ideas.

ALLOY is currently rehearsing and composing in the Niederrhein area, crafting intricate, powerful music that bridges technical complexity with emotional depth — staying true to the progressive spirit that defines their influences.

Franziska Boeck
Vocals
Franziska Boeck (born Reutlingen, Germany, 1998) discovered her passion for the stage early on through school musicals, where she performed as both an actress and singer. Alongside her vocal work, she received classical violin training and actively participated in school ensembles, developing a strong musical foundation.

From 2018 to 2024, Franziska studied Jazz Vocals at Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, where she gained extensive experience in studio sessions, ensembles, and bands such as the renowned Folkwang Big Band. During this time, she had the opportunity to perform with celebrated musicians including Helge Schneider, further shaping her musicality and stage presence. Since October 2024, she has been studying Pop Composition at ICEM (Folkwang University of the Arts), expanding her skills as a songwriter and composer.

Her influences span a wide range of genres: from pop artists like PVRIS, Christina Aguilera, and Paramore, to rock icons such as Avril Lavigne and The Pretty Reckless. Metal and progressive metal bands like Spiritbox, Novelists, Karnivool, and Vulkan have inspired the heavier edge of her vocal style, while jazz greats such as Norma Winstone, Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O’Day, and Norah Jones have shaped her phrasing, timing, and approach to improvisation.

This diverse background allows Franziska to combine emotional storytelling with sophisticated harmonic and rhythmic ideas while keeping her vocal lines powerful and accessible.

In February 2024, she became the vocalist and lyricist of the Easycore/Post-Hardcore band NEONGREY, and in March 2025 she joined ALLOY as their lead singer. Within ALLOY she is responsible for lyrics and vocal lines, adding both intensity and melodic clarity to the band’s progressive sound.
Björn M.

Bass

Björn Müschen (born Niederrhein, Germany, 1980) is a versatile bassist and former classical pianist with roots in both classical and electronic music. While exploring his own interpretations of Rachmaninoff and Chopin, Björn also immersed himself in the electronic sounds of the 1990s, including trance and house music. At 21, he began playing bass, inspired by funk and rock influences such as Jaco Pastorius, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Jamiroquai.

Björn eventually joined the Düsseldorf-based pop rock band Morning View, with whom he recorded two self-produced albums, incorporating piano on some tracks. This period deepened his exploration of rock music, from Led Zeppelin to Muse and Biffy Clyro. He later pursued a harder - edged sound with his next project, Roosterfish. Over time, Björn developed a love for progressive rock, drawn to its rhythmic complexity and dynamic arrangements, which shaped his work with Glistening Leotard, where he recorded another two albums.

In 2023, Björn teamed up with guitarist Sebastian — whom he met during the final gig of Glistening Leotard — and formed ALLOY, a progressive band inspired by bands like Karnivool, Tool, and Porcupine Tree.
